Medical Students, Graduating Medical Students and Residents


The insurance requirements of a Medical Student, Medical Resident, Fellow or In-Practice Physician vary, depending on the stage of your training, as well as your stage in life.As you move from stage to stage, your income will change, as well as the benefits you may have or require.
 


 

Stage 1

As a Medical Student, you are entitled to obtain individual disability coverage that will grow with you as you travel from Student to Resident to Fellow to Practice.

Stage 2

When you complete your Residency, you may lose House Coverage, which will need to be replaced. If you carry coverage through Kirkham & Jack, there may be a special one-time increase available to you, which would have to be exercised within 90 days of losing your coverage.
